Condensate treatment units
Caligo Industrial has two options (WT and WTS) for efficient condensate treatment, which are reliable even in demanding operating conditions.
The condensate treatment unit can also be obtained as a separate solution, which handles condensate treatment, filtration and sludge separation completely independently. The treated condensate can be drained into the sewer.
Caligo offers two different versions for condensate treatment: In the version developed for a heavier particle load, the top part of the condensate tower has a clarifier, to which the condensate produced in the scrubber is led and where the heavier sludge separates to the bottom. Below this is a sand filter to which the clarified condensate is led as an overflow. The sand is washed automatically with purified condensate, and the dirty wash water is led back to the clarifier.
The version developed for a lighter particle load is based on a microfilter. The filter is washed automatically, the resulting wash water is clarified and all the solid matter is separated from it in the reject clarifier.
Caligo condensate treatment systems have been developed specifically for the specific requirements of bioenergy plants. Both systems can be automatically controlled with independent logic that dynamically controls the condensate treatment process according to input load parameters.
Caligo WT and WTS systems work optimally when connected and integrated with a Caligo flue gas scrubber, but can also be supplied as separate condensate treatment units without a scrubber.
Caligo condensate treatment units are supplied as fully functional plug-and-play products that have been thoroughly tested during production. Both systems meet the requirements of the MCP Directive (Medium Combustion Plant Directive). Depending on local requirements, the condensate cleaned by the Caligo WT and WTS systems can be discharged directly into the stormwater drain.
